Today Kevin's guy came and framed up the Front Farmers porch. They didn't deck it as we haven't chosen our decking yet.

Eric's guys finished up the roof over the bumpout in the toy room and also worked on trim and interior walls.

Today the framing crew filled in the last section of roof between the garage and the house. It doesn't quite look like we had anticipated. I think it will probably need some tweakin...

The roof over the master bath was installed today.

The Cellar stairs were installed today. View From the Front.

More work on the roofs. We ran into some difficulty on the roof that attaches the house to the garage. The way the roofline is on the plans we would have only a 58" high doorway to access the extra space in our attic. We changed this section of the roof to a gambrel and it appears to have provided us the necessary headroom to be able to utilize the main attic. The missing section below is what is going to be done as a Gambrel.

Here is the view from the Main attic looking back at the roof of the garage over the entrance from the stairs.

Yesterday we visited New Bedford to pick up the old pocket doors from Gramp's old house. we plan to use them in the upstairs hall to the kids bedrooms. They will need a lot of refinishing work. This morning the lumber for the second floor walls and the roof was delivered:

Due to the extreme heat the framers could only work half a day. They still managed to get some of the second floor walls up.
