The site was real busy today. There must have been a dozen work trucks. Kevin Lobisser and his workers were pouring the concrete footings for the back deck. Jim Melnick was installing the service wiring from the meter socket to the main panel in the basement. Kyle and John continued to wire the inside of the house, And I met with Pauline our Kitchen designer. Hopefully this means that things will start moving along quicker now.

The last couple of weeks have been mostly wiring. We also needed to install another 4" Pipe to the street so NStar can get the electric service to our house. This required alot of rework. This is the platform and grounding rod for the Transformer.Kyle and John have the house ~ 80% Wired. Dad has been working every Saturday since he got home from Florida. (Going back to Florida this year is going to be a bit more attractive then normal) This weekend we built the landing in the garage for the garage door. We also have started closing up the garage door openings with Blue tarps to help keep the cold out.

We had the apron of our driveway put in to make it cleaner for the Winter. It is just a rough coat which goes in about 40'.

T&J did some additional installation work on the furnace. It is small on the inside and small on the outside. This is the exhaust and the intake for the furnace. Barely noticable on the side of the house.

Here is Laura on the newest Tool on the site.

The guys from T&J were in this week installing the Furnace and piping in the utility room. The white unit is the Buderus furnace. Seems kind of small for a furnace, but they tell me it will heat the house just fine.

Kyle worked this week on the second floor electric. He livened up a few circuits off of the generator. It was a busy weekend, Russ, Linda and Nicole stopped by on Saturday and Russ ended up staying and helping with the blocking for future paneling. Dad was the Cut Man and Russ was nailed the pieces in.
On Sunday Phil stopped by in the AM and installed all the in wall wiring for the alarm. Dunc and Dad stopped by in the afternoon to continue working on the wall blocking. Joe D left his Loader backhoe at the lot so Dad and Joe could move some of the fill back to behind the garage.

The posts for the back decks have been poured. The ones off the kitchen still need to be taller and that is why they have rebar sticking out of them. Once they are backfilled we will add on more sonotubes and pour them higher.

The Gas meter was installed - We are getting closere to having heat.

The last couple have weeks have been fillled with additional sitework, the Gasline installation by NStar, and the start of the back decks (footings).

Cement being poured for the the back deck footings.
Lots of additional fill have been dropped on the lot as we try to get to final grade. We have been fortunate to get fill from a town project.
The Gas line was installed earlier this week. We are now just waiting for the Meter. Electricity is the remaining missing utility.

Friday through Sunday were days to finish up small Framing projects. Friday Chris took care of the two fireplaces and the Master Bath surround.Saturday Chris built any walls needed for the kitchen and also finished up the walls needed for the pocket doors.

On Sunday I tried out my new nail gn by building a utility room in the basement. This is where most of the plumbing and heating equipment will go.
